FEVERuary

Happy Valentines Day.  (Mom's attempt at a photo shoot wasn't as successful as she hoped for...but we are still cute, right?)

watching the guy climb our dead tree....he went high!
So I have decided February is not my month.  As you may remember, I got really sick back when I was Heidi's age (memories here), last year I got a nasty fever/rash in February, and now this past week I was rocking a 104 fever for 4 days.  That meant I got to watch lots of Mickey Mouse while I stayed home from school and mom worked.  Heidi got to go to school.  We eventually went to the doctor and I got some yummy pink medicine which has been making me feel better.  Just in time for Heidi to get sick.
Yeah, thanks alot sis.  Seriously, was it necessary for you to cough on me?  That was NO fun.  Luckily, I only had slight fevers but I have had a nasty cough/cold.  It makes for long days where it just hurts to eat, so I prefer to sleep.  And no matter how hard I try to sleep at night, I usually wake up coughing and hungry.  Thankfully, mom and dad come in to help out.  Well mom on the eating front.  She says that doesn't help her get over her cold, me waking her up, but I can't help it!  Dad tells her to stop catching what we get.  Vicious circle I guess.  I am now doing much better and am getting back into my routine.  Here's hoping our February sicknesses are all done!

Instead of the Who Wore it Best, we have a Who Sounds Worse?  Me the other day....

or Amelia in Feb. 2010.

I know...we both are pretty pitiful, but I think Amelia wins (if you can call it winning).  I have done some relaxing in the bathtub as you can see, that makes me feel much better!

In non-sick news, we have mixed in a bit of fun since last posting.  Going back to a couple weekends ago we made our first trip to the acquarium.  I really liked it!  I even touched some starfish and other crawly things!

getting pretty good in my exersaucer!
Last weekend Grandma Janice (who I am trying out calling Oma...i go back and forth still) and Sadie came to visit!  Unfortunately, for them the sickness was showing its ugly face so we didn't really go out and about.  But I had fun just playing with her at home, showing her my toys, reading books, etc!  We did do a girls lunch out for some mexican (sans sick Heidi), which is always tasty!  I really enjoyed grandma reading me books, she even napped with me one day.  Ha!  I got her wrapped around my finger.  She had to get back home and left on Sunday while I was napping.  I was so excited to go downstairs to wake her up, like I did in the AM, but then I was informed she had already gone home.  Needless to say, I was not that happy!  I'm sure I will get to see Oma again soon, but until then I am sure I'll see her on skype!  Oma and I had some good bonding time too, she held me while the family went to church.  I guess they didn't want me getting sicker, so Oma hung out with me.  I loved the snuggles!  Despite me not feeling well, we did get a few pictures in.  Oma also made us some cute matching skirts, which we are wearing in the below picture, but mom cut off.  Nice work mom.  You'll just have to take our word for it, they are cute!

Hopefully everyone had a great Valentines Day.  I had a blast at my school party and came home with a few goodies.  My valentines were by far the coolest.  What do you think?
Oma helped me out with making them

And check out what we had for dinner.  Heart shaped pizza.  I definitely LOVE that!  I have no doubt that our house is full of love and don't really need a special day to be reminded of it, but I'll take candy and pizza whenever you want to give it to me!

Until next time, enjoy some more pics below.  Amelia OUT!

An ode to Heidi's mohawk here.

What you looking at?
I DO look good!

And a few more pictures with our valentines outfits on...

big girl panties! (I am doing really good, but maybe not quite ready for these!) But I can help out with changing Heidi's diaper!
