Ok. Here I go again, playing catch up trying to remember updates to share. Here's the deal, we keep busy as you will see below. So busy that we are too tired to take the time to write out - or even remember- updates, but I will try.
First of all, quick baby sister update. She is good, we have gone to see her on the TV screen a couple of times with mom and dad. It is pretty cool seeing her little nose and big feet. Still can't really tell you what she is going to look like or what her name will be, but we have about 8 weeks to decide. I guess she is going to have to come out before my birthday because mom has been having some issues, so I won't share my birthday after all. Maybe that means I will get to have a party! I still can't believe we will have a baby here. So weird. Mom has to take things a bit easier as apparently we were much better than she is when we were in mommy's tummy, so we try to help out by being good. Dad says I need to try harder, but whatever.
Ok, updates, where do I begin? It is now officially summer...and I am a pre-K graduate and ready to start kindergarten in a couple months! Unfortunately, I still have to go to school. It doesn't seem right, but mom says we don't have a choice since mom & dad are at work. At least they are keeping things fun, we had VBS this past week where we talked about how Jesus is a superhero!

Oh and in case you all didn't know, Elliot (last one in this pic) and I are planning on getting married. We have it all worked out, we are going to live in California (to be close to the princesses of course), and have 3 kids. 2 boys and 1 girl. We know we are too little now, but we plan on finding each other when we are bigger. I have ensured mom that he is another good kid in my class that gets smiley faces and doesn't get in trouble, so she says it is ok. Dad....not so much.

Well, we had our dance recital down at the KC Music Hall. Elmo, Nana, Papa, Rachelle, & Rhonda all came down to watch us. All 4 minutes, but the time we got to spend with them - swimming at the hotel, eating, and just playing (they taught us a real fun card game "trash" that has now taken over Uno as our new favorite game to play) - was worth it...to us at least! This was my first dance recital and I'm going to say I rocked it. I sang so loud, mom said she could hear me and even though I was on the end (apparently I have to get use to that set up due to my height), I remembered my steps. And I felt so pretty in my dress! I had just as much fun watching my sissy up there doing Hip Hop Baby, I loved singing her song with her and hope that I can be as good as her one day.
Now that dance is over, we have started our summer activities. I am playing tee ball again. I play on a new team - the Vandals. I love going, even though it has been SO hot. The other parents tell me I'm the MVP, which I like to hear because that is what Salvy is, but I think it is because they say I am so focused out there. Not hard to look a winner when half the boys play with dirt or are looking in different directions, or practicing sliding. I like to play catcher like Salvy, but that mask is hot. So I have tried out 1st base too. Mom says next year maybe I can start playing on a girls softball league which could be fun, because I love hitting, but so far the 2 other girls that I have played with just cry and refuse to play. Hopefully that is not the case elsewhere!
Speaking of baseball we of course have been cheering on our Royals and going to as many games as dad will let us go to with them. I have been to 9 so far. My favorites were when I went by myself with dad for a date night and this past Sunday when we all went for father's day. We got to have our faces painted and got balloon hats. (Don't worry dad got a BBQ spatula and a bobblehead). Luckily our seats are in shade and we always get a good breeze, so no issues handling the hot summer days. I have fun at the games too, but dad hasn't offered me a date night there. Hmmm.... My new love is gymnastics. I go on Monday's and get to walk on balance beams, swing on bars, and do lots of somersaults. I love it! Much better than swim lessons. I think I have talked mom into not having to do those anymore. Me too, dad says I am swimming just fine on my own. I did teach myself to swim underwater this past weekend! Now that I can swim (don't worry I still keep it to the non-deep parts), I get to go on the big water slides and boy do I love them. Really it is pretty much all I do when we go to the pool.

Oh, that reminds me of a couple weekends back when we went to visit big Ava & Vivian and swam at their pool. Well, I did...Heidi was a baby and refused to go in because she saw bugs. She has somehow now developed a horrible fear of like everything and makes people think she is being tortured if she sees a little ant. I try to tell her that it is nothing, but she disagrees. Bugs eat people! Heidi, we have told you that nothing really eats people. Oh, this is a conversation we deal with daily. What animals will eat people, monsters, etc. Ok, ok I get it. For now. Let's talk about the other parts of our trip. We met their new (not so) little baby brother Jack. He was cute and so nice. For a boy. We all packed up and spent a HOT day in Silver Dollar City, but I didn't care. I finally officially surpassed the 36" requirement. Happy Dance!! I had sooooo much fun riding rides with Vivian! My new favorite ride was the water ride where we got splashed. That was fun...and this time we took a break from the heat and went to watch the Harlem Globetrotters. They were funny! I liked it a lot! I was so sad to have to leave on Sunday, I wish we could spend more time with them and can't wait till we get to see them again.![]() |

My first movie. Zootopia, it was kind of scary...but I loved the popcorn.

We have fun playing outside with our neighbors. We LOVE Abby, she is so nice. Our neighbors on the other side come out to play sometimes too!
Oh, and painting. We are slowly making room for baby, so that requires some rearranging and decorating of our rooms upstairs. Fun! Yes! I have officially started sleeping upstairs in my new room. I hear some weird sounds sometimes, but I'm getting use to it..and definitely like the extra room to move around at night. Oh Heidi just wait till we hear noises of a crying baby down the stairs! Until those days....Amelia & Heidi OUT!
