Shades of Pink

No, this is nothing like that popular book I hear about Shades of Grey.  You see, pink is just a common color around here.  Heidi's closet looks like bubble gum exploded in there.  Hey now, most of those are hand me downs, sis....AND I do look GOOD in pink.  Don't you think?  As dad always tell us...you are beautiful in all colors Heidi!

still smiling, despite the eyes
In a much uglier fashion, I have been also sporting some pink.  In my eye, that is.  Not so pretty, eh?  After a couple days of dealing with puss filled eyes, I guess I looked gross enough to finally motivate mom & dad to get me some medicine.  Dad says with my pale skin and pink/red eyes, I look like a vampire.  I am fully expecting to be back to normal soon.  I am ready for a full week of school.  Last week I was only there Tue-Thurs...I was home due to the eye on Friday...and much more fun, I got to stay home on Monday for a fun day with mom and our guests.  Who were the guests you ask?  My godmother Sonja, and her kids Xena, Bo, & Achsah.  They were here when I got up from nap on Sunday afternoon.  They only stayed about 24 hours, but it was a lot of fun.  We pulled out my slip and slide that I got from papa and nana for Christmas and the kids showed me how it worked.  It was FUN!  The water was a little cold....especially for them as they are use to everything being hot in Houston!  But I loved it.  I spent more time chillin' in Sonja's arms...but I did give the slide a try this past weekend with Amelia.  We both played in it (in the buff, so no pics please!), but it was a blast.  I army crawled my way down it while the water was getting me!

She did do good....just as good as getting us totally off subject.  Back to our visitors...we had fun the rest of the evening playing games (I LOVE duck, duck, goose!) and eating pizza.  Monday, dad went to work, mom took Heidi to school, and then the rest of us went to have a day of fun!  We went to Deanna Rose, where mom was in awe of how the parking lot was completely full on a Monday morning.  I heard grumblings about doesn't anybody work?  Blah, blah.  Despite there being quite a few people there, I think everyone had fun.  I will admit, that I was kind of lame and had more fun riding around in the stroller.  I did finally get out to go on the hayrack ride.  Although, that took some pushing.  The rest of them did some pretty cool things though...they mined for rocks and even went fishing.  Xena & Bo caught some!  After we were done there we went out for lunch at Fritz's.  The place that the choo choo brings you your food.  Yeah, it had been a while since I was there last....so I had a lot of fun.  I think they all did too.  They had to leave to get to Nebraska to see family, hopefully it won't be a year+ till we see them again!  I know we all loved them visiting , I will have to work on my parents to milk a trip down south!

In other fun times since last post...they had VBS at my school.  (Vacation Bible School for you novices)...it was a lot of fun with the cowboy themes.  This past Friday they had a party after school where, wait for it....there was a FIRE TRUCK!  Needless to say, that was the coolest part IMO.  Not only did I get to see it up close, but I got to drive it!  Super sweet.   If you ask me, it was the food.  That's right...mom was preoccupied eating a hamburger she didn't seem to notice that I was eating a pink cookie!  It was super yummy and kept me entertained, which according to M&D, is tough going these days!   There was a lot to do.....I may have chickened out when it came to the petting zoo or riding the pony.  But I did get in the bouncy house (well until someone else came in) AND I got my face painted with a little star.  Since I'm dad's twinkle, twinkle and all.

Apparently I was to blame for not getting our gifts in the actual picture.
Speaking of dad.  It was Father's Day this past weekend.  We celebrated by each taking 3+ hour naps, therefore giving him plenty of time to watch the US Open and nap himself.  We also gave him a couple little gifts.  I think he liked his "Super Dad" book the best.  He really is so great.  As my card said, I love it when he sings to (or with) me, but he does so many other awesome things.  We sure are lucky!
I agree....I love being with him.  So much so, that I decided to get up and have him hold me for an hour in the middle of the night.  : )

It was a week prior, but another fun thing we like to do with dad is watch and go to baseball games.  I prefer the latter.  The experience is fun, but my favorite part by far is the corn dog!  As you can see, we finally got Heidi her official Royals fan certificate.  And dad had the chance of catching 2 foul balls from our super sweet seats...but slippery hands couldn't hold on.  I guess that is why he is not a professional baseball player, right?  Don't worry dad....I still love you!  The Royals are undefeated when I go....so I'm hoping despite my apparent 'squirminess', I get to go to more games!

Isn't my new hat great?

Here are just some cute pics from this weekend.  We made some colored whip cream.  As you can see, Amelia had fun painting me.  Blue on my elbow, pink on my tummy, etc.  I mainly enjoyed licking it!

Just us looking cute..
Capturing a shot of the positions Heidi is actually comfortable in.

Look who now can sit in the cart with me!  FUN trip to Costco!
Yes, I can feed Heidi

got a chance to sport my new
rain boots, but I didn't want to

Here is video proof of my moves!

I am Blessed!

I have finally come down from the high of the busy last weekend, I wanted to blog about it so not to forget my special day.  You see, I was baptized/dedicated last weekend.  I know that I am one of God's children, but it was fun celebrating that in front of family and friends!  And boy do I have a lot.  As you can see by the picture, I had lots of people come to town to celebrate and spend time together.  Both my godparents, BJ & Danielle,  2 aunts, uncle Brian, cousins, grandparents, and friends.  Whoa....I am truly blessed!

The whole gang.  How is Mallorie the tallest person in the bunch?
Saturday AM after my morning nap, we all went to church.  I guess it was easier to do it when there weren't hundreds of people there on Sunday, and went into a small room where Don baptized me.  He said some nice things and then put water on my face.  I didn't mind it....actually it was pretty refreshing.  I guess he baptized me too, but I'm not going to lie...that was years ago.  I don't remember much.  It didn't take all that long so afterward we hung out a bit, took some pictures, etc.  The big kids all went and played on the stage in the auditorium a bit.  I went up there too, but I don't think I'm ready for the big stage.

After, we all headed back to our house for some lunch and playing.  Mom got this super cool bouncy house from her boss.  I'm sure you are all surprised to hear that Amelia was too scared to get in it.  Kaiden, Tess, & Norah showed her how cool it was but she was still not so sure.  I think they got her in a couple of times...but it took lots of coaxing.  Seriously....on Sunday after everyone left dad gave her another chance to play all by herself in it, but she still wasn't in to it...so I got in.  I loved it....I immediately crawled all around in it.  I guess we now know who the adventurous one in the family is.
Hold on there, Heidi.  This whole loud air blowing, wasn't my cup of tea.  That doesn't mean I have no sense of adventure.  For example, I fly really high on our swing.  You know who also could swing high.  All the Noecker's they could touch the leaves with their feet.  Whoa!

Back to me....I even got presents for my special day.  I did not expect that all!  But it was awesome.  I got my very own Bible that is just like Amelia's so we don't have to share!  And I got some special picture frames, super cool blocks, picture frames, a really pretty bracelet, and more....even some icy pops!  Thank you all again, I am one lucky girl!

Other highlights included my first trip to the swimming pool.  Aunt Rhonda took me all around.  I actually thought it was pretty fun being in the water with everyone.  Of course, I thought it was fun too.  I even put my feet in the hot tub so I could hang out with the big kids.  Mallorie and Jason sang me some super cool songs.  They are talented!  It was a long day with no nap, and going to bed a couple hours late, but all worth it.  It was so much fun to spend time with everyone.  Mom & dad even got to have some fun with a boys golf outing and a girls night out.  Fun had by all!

watching a movie with the boys
Luckily it has been a pretty low key week so we have fully recouped for this weekend!  Until next time, Amelia & Heidi OUT!

Enjoy some more cute pictures from the big day.

I love going upside down.  Look familiar?

Proof that Heidi does pick on me too!

Did you hear about all the rain we got one morning?  It was pretty cool.  Mom bought me some rain boots that I am itching to try out, so I'm hoping for another good rain!

Not a lot in this video, just showing my crawling skills...and my super cute outfit from Aunt Rhonda!
