We're Back....

Ok, this is going to be such a hodge podge of a blog, but it has been 1 1/2 months since I last posted...so just go with me.  First off, in case you haven't noticed.....I changed the blog website to www.steffensisters.blogspot.com, we figured with Steffen 3.0 coming in a few months, I shouldn't take over the whole url.  Although realistically, it IS my blog.  Perhaps this will save me from being easily found on that Google thing.  Anyway, bookmark it, etc. so you can always find us!

Ok, so that was the main goal for this post.  You will notice that mom has not been so good at taking many pictures over past 6+ weeks (and dad has never been so good at that) so I guess I will just share highlights that I remember.  Let's see since last blog we have either had visitors or traveled nearly every weekend.  So needless to say we have had some good family time.  Nana, Papa, & Rhonda came down and helped dad work on the basement and me paint my new rainbow room!  And she painted both me and Heidi a sky for our room.   I love my new room.  I just need to get mom to hang some stuff on the wall.
Elmo came a couple times, one of the times she got started painting Heidi's new room upstairs.  Yes, I am getting an owl room!  We got sidetracked getting the basement finished, but I'll be moving on up sometime in coming weeks - and I'm giving baby my old room.  I know, I'm nice.  I love her already....I'm getting so excited to play with her.  I practice being mommy like every day.  And I sing to her every night, I'm determined that she will love my singing when she comes out.  Anyway, back to the basement.  All of dad's work has now finally come to fruition and we get to enjoy the nice new space.  We LOVE playing down there and sitting on the new couch!  Mom still needs to organize the playroom side, but we love drawing on the chalkboard and playing basketball.

Outside of the visitors, we have made some trips ourselves.  We spent time in both Lincoln and Hartington.  There we saw grandparents, friends, cousins, etc.

We were up in Hartington for our annual graduation celebration.  This time it was big cousin Jack.  As always, there was a super fun party where we got to celebrate him (and eat lots!).  He is joining a lot of the others down in Lincoln next year.  Because they had to make room at their house for the party they took their trampoline over to nana and papas.  Oh boy.  It is awesome....we jumped on it every chance we got.  I keep reminding dad that we want one for our bday present.  But if not, we will wait for Santa to bring it to us.  After the party, we even talked mom and dad into letting us have a slumber party at Aunt Rhonda's house, I'm not so sure Uncle Gayle was thrilled with getting kicked to the couch for the night, but we loved it!  So much so, we kind of forgot that we were not there to wish mom a happy mother's day.  But in normal fashion we drew her some pictures and picked out a super cool picture that lights up.  I know she loved it.  Daddy and Papa spent some time in the garage and made her a stand for her Christmas nativity...they sure are handy.  Well my favorite part of the weekend was when my godmother, Danielle, came and brought me a present.  It was a really neat puzzle that was a picture of the 2 of us.  How cool is that?  Then when we got it all put together it said "Heidi will you be our flowergirl"  (she had to read it to me)....that's right...now I get to be a flower girl.  Since I watched Amelia, I know I can do it.  I'm pretty excited, but I guess I have a year to wait and practice for it.  Until then, I have fun wearing out my puzzle!

Oh, I almost forgot we stopped and stayed in a hotel one night and I finally gave in and trusted dad and took off my floaties.  Guess what?  Not only did I float on my back like a champ, but I swam all the way across the pool by myself and I wasn't scared!  I know I need more practice, but I'm pretty good.

The rest of our time has been spent celebrating both mom and dad's birthdays (they were low key, but they got some of my pretty drawings...what more do you need?!), I got to go to mom's work for a full day of fun, and lots of trips to the ballpark. We love watching the Royals, so far they are doing so-so but whenever we go they win, so I guess we have to keep sacrificing.  I like to cheer for Alex Gordon, but most of all I like to eat lots of food and go to the park.  Well of course, check us out hitting the ball at the little K.  I usually hit about .500 out there, and Heidi wails off the tee.  Watch out big leagues the Steffen sisters are a comin’!  Oh, speaking of….I have my first tee-ball practice of the summer tonight (well if it isn’t cancelled due to the non-stop rain/wet fields around here).

The crownvision guy took a liking to us one day, I cheer SUPER hard for Salvy - he is my new favorite because he won the trophy.  I tell mom all the time how I have dreams about him, and I kiss the tv or any picture I see.  I would totally be more excited to see him than Elsa and Anna.  But it was really cool to see them there too!

I would like to say that I will update you all again a little bit more often, but I won't make any promises as we have a fun filled summer ahead of us!  Amelia OUT!
