I am totally taking this blog over. Because why not, one of the highlights of recent weeks was my first dance recital ever. It was AWESOME. I was totally prepared and not the least bit freaked out by the venue. Mom kept talking about how the Music Hall was a big place where Broadway performers come, but nothing brings me down. I rocked it in my Great American dance. Don't I look beautiful. I sure felt beautiful. Mom even let me put lipstick on. I included a video of our dress rehearsal so you all can take it in on a smaller more cramped stage. Oh, and check out the red, white, and blue matching flowers I got. How perfect!

As you can see, I was feeling like dancing all night. I danced during intermission and then took to the aisles during the 2nd half of the performance. Don't worry I wasn't the only Great American doing that. Funny thing, my mom's old friend/colleague's daughter Harper was in my dance with me. We didn't figure it out till after the show!
I enjoyed the show too. I was enthralled sitting on nana, papa, and Elmo's lap. Yep, that's right…they all came down to see me dance. I sure felt special. It was fun having them there to watch me.
Let's see. A few more fun things:

1. Baseball:Of course Go big Royals games. Who do you think our favorite player is? Heidi heard the Royals game on the radio last night and immediately said, is "Alex Gordon hitting a home run?" Husker Pride.
We went to a Fireworks Friday game. It was awesome. We got a bit tired, but the crazy ladies behind us gave me some cool glasses and dance around with us. Then the fireworks came! It was a late night, but totally worth it.
Oh, on that subject…I almost forgot. I started TEE BALL! I love it. I am getting good and hold my own against all the boys. Our first game was suppose to be this past Saturday but it got cancelled because of all the rain. (Seriously, we have had SO much rain. You just splash when you walk in the back yard. It is nuts!). Hopefully my game this weekend won't get rained out, because I am ready to hit some home runs! As you can see, I have a great fielding stance. My coaches were impressed.
Mom and dad took a trip to Chicago to go to the Cubs game. All I remember is that they said it was really cold, the Cub bear took mom's Royals hat, the buildings are really tall, and they ate some yummy looking pizza and didn't bring me any back. They did bring back some Garrett's popcorn though. It was good! We had lots of fun of our own while they were gone. Why? Elmo was here. We had a lot of fun playing, painting, coloring, eating, and getting tattoos! Don't worry, they washed off eventually.
2. House projects:We (ok…dad) built a new birdhouse. But we painted it! Purple. Now the birds can easily find it. Since we got to be such good painters, we decided our picnic table also needed some color. Dad gave us these cool bandanas so we kept our hair clean.

3. Fun with family/friends.
The weather is now nice enough for swimming! We made our first trip to the pool this weekend. I had lots of fun jumping in with daddy. I'm getting good swimming - with my floaties on, of course. Me too! We went swimming yesterday with Lucas N. at their pool. I loved jumping into the pool and having his mommy catch me!
We went over to Mason's house to see our friends and celebrate his mommy's 40th bday. As you can see, we had fun. I heard mom talking about how we were both 'coupling' up. Evan and I went for a 'drive', and then Heidi and Graham were enjoying an evening snack together. All innocent, I promise!
We also went bowling with little Ava and her brother Henry. That was a blast!! Don't forget our trip to Wonderscope with Lucas. All cows eat carrots, right aunt Rhonda?
Here is a video of us doing an end of evening singing/dancing session.
I had a date night with dad last night. We went to watch Frozen at Shawnee Mission Park. I loved it!
We end a lot of nights with a family game of Uno. Yes, it's true…I give up my nightly show for some friendly competition. We even have got grandmas and papa to join in the fun. I am really good at it. She is, when she is in the mood….
And since most of this blog was about Amelia's accomplishments….I got in on one of her photo op days for this close up. Enjoy!
Heidi & Amelia OUT!
