Cr-May-zy

selfie!
See what I did there?  Yep, it feels like the month of May is always crazy for us.  I guess 2 birthdays, graduation, Mother's Day, etc. can do that.  Here are some updates from the past few weeks in no particular order

We took our yearly trip up for a cousin's graduation.  This time it was Ryan.  We don't mind the drive up there as much, now that Heidi is a good traveler like me.  She doesn't really watch movies, but she sits quiet and colors.  Wait, I take that back….sometimes she sings…ok…a lot of the time.  The usual trio, Twinkle, Ball game, then Jesus.  But we do have some favorite songs on the radio.  It usually only takes me a couple notes to figure out a Taylor Swift song or "Uptown Funk You up".  Heidi's favorite song (that she knows on like the 2nd note) is "take me to church".  Go figure….  I digress.  We made it to our quick trip to H-Town to celebrate Ryan.  He is moving away next year, another cousin in Lincoln!  As always, we had fun seeing nana/papa and all the cool things they have done to their house.  We of course went to Ryan's party where aunt Rhonda did it up good.  She had LOTS of food…. we helped deliver cake, and jello shots (I guess we couldn't have those).  She also decorated one of their garages as a bar/lounge and my godfather Eric and Kaitlyn were the bartenders.  So I had fun with them.  I am going to be their flower girl in a few short months!  I got to play/see every one of my cousins this time.  Yeah, I was only scared off by a couple them….ahem, big Jack!
Aunt Brenda was even so nice as to squeeze all three of us girls in for much needed hair cuts.  It was my 1st ever.  Yep 4 1/2, it was time to even out some of those long stragglers.

We headed home on Mothers Day and missed most of the big storms both in NE and here.  We got back and celebrated mom with giving her a lilac bush.  Hopefully we have better luck with this one than the last one we planted.

We also celebrated mom yesterday for her birthday.  With donuts in the AM and cake in the evening (after playing - or I guess 'working' -in our truck hauling dirt for dad.  That was fun!!  Don't forget we went out and had yummy Italian food and cake this weekend!  Oh yeah, and we gave her a Royals jersey.  It is like mine.  We went to the game on Sunday too.  They beat the Yankees!  It seems like every time I go my favorite player, Gordon, is taking the day off.  Not cool.  After the game, guess what I got to do?  Run the bases, like a real ball player!

We also had a whole fun weekend when we celebrated dad's birthday too.  He is 41.  I like to say that, like every day.  It is my favorite number because I love daddy.  I also like to remind him how much I love him.  Like the most ever.  I remind mommy that I love her so she doesn't get sad.  But I love ya ya too.  Most of the time... Anyway, the weekend fun started with daddy's friends BJ and Rob coming down to hang out a bit on their way to Chicago.  We took them for some BBQ.  2 places, they barely could eat Oklahoma Joes they were full already.  Weak.  They need to learn how to put down food like me and dad.  I gave BJ lots of hugs this time on his visit (not sure if I mentioned his last whirlwind visit a few weeks ago where he spent like 14 hours tiling our basement bath.  He is awesome!  So is daddy, we really should take some pics of their handy work.  Oh well, you can come and see for your self.

After they left, nana, papa, Rachelle, & Mallorie came to spend a couple nights with us while daddy and mom went off to some fancy hotel in the Plaza.  We had a lot of fun.  They are so much fun to play with!  We even went down and shopped around with them for a while on Saturday.

A few other fun things we have done on our days hanging out with mommy.  Trips to the park, fun with little Ava, napping together (aren't we cute?) and our first ever trip roller skating!

Here are a couple fun videos. One from Graham Ludlow's 2nd bday party.  That was a fun place!!!

And an action shot from our first ever roller skating outing.

Just a tease for the next time….I had my dress rehearsal last night for my big show at the Music Hall this weekend.  You are going to LOVE those pics!!
