Taking the Leap!

Ok, I don't really have leaping down or jumping for that matter.  But I can march and twirl with the best of them.  I figured since I was far behind in providing updates (not all my fault by the way - computer was in shop, etc., etc), I would give a post in honor of those who brought me into this world.  That's right.  1 year ago today or 1,461 days ago mom and dad took the leap and were married.  Pretty cool, huh?  Cool...because if that didn't happen, there would be no me and then no blog...and then just a lot of sad people, right?!

I will again provide some of the key highlights (and lots of videos) from the past couple of weeks instead of giving a full play by play.
* Life is pretty status quo.  I still enjoy a lot of the same things, lots of singing, helping out mom and dad around the house, building blocks, etc.  Here is some video of me doing the actions to baby bumble bee...well until I got distracted by the oven that is.  That happens, you know.  I'll give you a full showing sometime in the future. Other than that just been spending a lot of time outside.  With weather in the 60's, how can you not?

* I was sick last week with a fever that gave me a nasty rash.  It doesn't bother me much, but it sure looks funny.  I point at it all the time.  Since you all know dad the germaphobe, you will understand how proud he is of me, as I now sucessfully cover my mouth when I cough.  Now he just has to guess when I am real vs. fake coughing!
* Grandma & Grandpa Steffen came for a visit this past weekend which, as always, was awesome.  Dad talked them into doing some major house work to help us get our house ready to sell.  So we all were busy bees all day.  Dad & Grandpa did yardwork, cleaned the basement up, etc.  Us girls did some major organizing of the kitchen.  As you can see, I was great help with organizing the spices.  It wasn't work and all play though.  Mom & Dad went to go look at some new houses (btw...I'm still not sure about this whole moving thing), while gma & gpa and I went on a walk and did lots of swinging.  For all of our hard work dad took us to a nice family dinner at Stroud's.  They have some mighty good fried chicken.  I of course wouldn't eat anything else.  Why bother, right?

* Including a video from church.  I always tell you I have fun, but here is some proof!  Ava and I were playing tag afterward...it was such a blast.  I was not happy when dad said it was time to stop and go home.  Since grandma and grandpa were in town last weekend, I missed playing at (oops, I mean going to) church. Apparently I missed an awesome sermon...they did the reverse offering again!  That's right...church handed out money to us!!  Of course it is for us to bless someone else with.  It is pretty cool hearing about what everyone is doing.  Maybe I can talk mom into doing it with some of my money that I totally deserve for putting away my clothes, dishes, etc.  Or $ dad should be giving me for being his barista every morning.

This is my new 'look'.  Do you think that is
what the lady found so cute?  Yes, I may have
a a new obsession with stickers
* Want to hear a crazy story, speaking of being blessed by someone?  We went out to dinner at the Blue Moose one night...yes, that is one of my favorite places...and now it totally is.  Why you ask?  Well the weirdest thing happened.  The waitress came over to tell us that this lady at the table next to us wanted to buy our dinner because she thought I was so cute.  Seriously!  How crazy is that?  Mom tried to say thanks, but not necessary, but she insisted.  Of course, I totally cheesed it up for her and smiled and flirted through dinner so she got her money's worth.  : )  Dad said that was a once in a lifetime thing, so don't get overly confident.

Here is a cute video of me playing with dad.

And one of me keeping the tub clean
